The Cane Oval-Back Chair gives a chain's interior the natural texture of cane in a form that is simple to produce identically at volume. An oval black-stained wood hoop frames a panel of woven cane, joined to the rear legs with small brass-tone fixings; below, a cognac upholstered seat sits in a wood seat frame on four legs with a cross stretcher.
Construction. Solid hardwood frame, black stain with commercial PU lacquer; woven cane panel set into the back hoop; seat on a plywood base with high-resilience foam and contract vinyl or leather; cross stretcher under the seat for stiffness.
In the program. Cane is a natural material, so we hold an approved cane sample for each program revision and check every production batch against it. Seat cover and stain codes are locked; seat pads are spare parts with their own item code.
Rollout notes. Chairs ship assembled with corner protection over the cane panel and are labelled by store and zone. Order a small allowance of spare chairs per store format to cover damage in transit or service.
Where it works. Bistro, Mediterranean and modern-European chain formats, hotel restaurants and cafes using natural materials. Pairs with stone or wood column tables.
Options managed as revisions. Stain, seat cover and color, glides. Foam specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request.
